Life's journey is an energetic process. Through daily experience we are challenged to rise above our current frequency; inspiring and encouraging those around us to do the same.
Astrology in combination with yoga is a great way to heighten or raise your frequency. Astrology gives you a baseline reading for where your soul is in it's journey and Yoga creates a space of healing where your soul can raise its' frequency by through energetic blockages.
Each planet's frequency corresponds with a specific area of the body. A good place to begin searching for the relationship between planets and our bodies is the chakras. Chakras are energetic vortexes located throughout the body. Each chakra houses physical, emotional and spiritual keys for evolution. There are seven chakras that correspond with the nine planets of the solar system.
Below I have listed each planet with it's corresponding chakra.
First chakra ~ Saturn
Second chakra ~ Pluto
Third Chakra ~ Mars and the Sun
Fourth Chakra~ Venus
Fifth Chakra ~ Mercury and Jupiter
Sixth Chakra ~ Neptune
Seventh Chakra~ Uranus
From here, the challenge is building a practice around the chakra that corresponds to the planet or sign you are working with. For example, If I choose to honor the New Moon in Aries, I'll take note that Aires is ruled by Mars and create a practice around my third chakra. A third chakra practice would be very challenging, incorporating vigorous movement and poses that increase core (stomach area) strength. The exciting part of sequencing yoga by planets and sign is not just finding poses that correspond to the area of the body you are working with, but pushing yourself to embody the energy you are working with.
