Full Moon

Half of Moon croons;
her other half cries.

​Birds grow silent 
in her lamplight.

Woodlands swoon 
at her weightless touch.

Tree branches reach
to thank her.

Blessed forests rest
in her still gaze.

Once again her patient face
surveys night’s 
slender pause.
